Join your fellow Young Professionals at the 2024 Young Professional Half-Day Summit! This Half-Day event is a great opportunity for area Young Professionals to come together to grow their professional network while also growing their professional skills. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Keynote Speaker, Lena Scullard on "Level Up Leadership." In this session, Lena will talk about

  • What it take to be a leader at any level of an organization
  • How to motivate the people around you to "level up" their skills, effort, and contributions
  • And much more.

After the Opening Keynote, attendees will have the opportunity to attend three of four breakout sessions on the following topics:

  • Navigating Human Needs - How to Lead a Guiding Conversation
  • Authentic Networking
  • Building Confidence as a Young Professional
  • Keeping Burnout at Bay

We'll close out the day with a closing address from Lena on how to "Gear Up" for the leadership journey ahead!

Learn more about our Keynote Speaker, Lena Scullard, below: 

As a top-rated professional speaker, facilitator, program designer, and consultant, Lena Scullard is on a mission to help individuals and teams improve their confidence and sense of capability for achieving success. With this in mind, she produces live and virtual programs that inspire others to expand their awareness and take strategic action in order to improve their results. Lena masterfully blends performance and conversational delivery with interaction and audience engagement to create lasting impact. By combining this dynamic presentation style with participant centered learning principles, her programs create memorable and emotional connections that leave people excited about new ideas and how to apply them in strategic ways.

Lena’s expertise includes both personal and interpersonal skills development, which she believes are the foundations of success. Inspired by more than 20 years in hospitality and leadership, she went on to spend over a decade in corporate training where she designed and delivered custom training and facilitated programs from FranklinCovey, The Pacific Institute, Achieve Forum, and DiSC. In addition to several facilitation certifications, Lena holds degrees in Theater and English Literature. She is also an experienced emcee and event production consultant. As a keynote speaker, Lena has provided services for a wide variety of clients, including those who work in Hospitality, Gaming, Healthcare, Customer Service, Education, Administrative Professionals, Retail, Sales, and those who serve in Leadership roles across all industries.

Lena grew up in rural Minnesota, surrounded by a supportive family, despite her crazy dreams and pursuits. At the age of 8, Lena was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, which taught her about mental strength and resilience, despite uncertainty and many other life lessons, which drive the message she shares with her audiences. In her free time, she is a youth program director for her church and often leads worship service. Among her list of proud accomplishments, she is a winner of two karaoke contests, a small-town talent show, and several local bar poker tournaments. She remains active in Community Theater, moonlights as a DJ, and loves adventure and new experiences. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and spunky dog, Moxie.
